Everything Your Aliyah
Money Needs

From your first NIS transfer to your long-term planning, we understand the financial side of moving to Israel — because we've been doing it with olim for sixteen years.

Better Rates than Banks

Olim typically save 1–3% versus high-street banks — on a $250,000 transfer that's thousands of extra shekels in your pocket. No receiving fees, no conversion fees.

Every Major Currency

USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD, ZAR, CHF and more — paired with the Israeli Shekel. Whatever country you're making Aliyah from, we handle the transfer.

Forward Contracts

Lock in today's exchange rate for a transfer up to 12 months out. Ideal for olim with a flight date, a closing date, or recurring transfers from abroad.

Pre-Aliyah Onboarding

Start the process from your home country before you've even packed. We have KYC representatives worldwide — meet face to face, or complete online if you hold two Israeli IDs.

English-Speaking Team

No Hebrew required. Dedicated account managers who understand the questions olim actually ask — Bituach Leumi, Shovar payments, Bank of Israel paperwork, all of it.

Licensed & Regulated

Licensed by Israel Securities Authority. ISO 27001 certified. Client funds held segregated. We've been doing this since 2008.

Your Aliyah Money Roadmap

From Pre-Aliyah
to Settled Olim

Money questions don't end on the day you land. Here's how we support you at every stage.

Stage 1
1
Before You Land

Open your account from abroad — online if you hold two Israeli IDs, otherwise via one of our worldwide KYC representatives. Lock today's rate with a forward contract so your flight date doesn't dictate your exchange rate.

Stage 2
2
Touchdown Week

First NIS transfer to your new Israeli bank account, typically within 1–2 business days. Convert savings to shekels in tranches as you settle. Your account manager handles documentation and clears any source-of-funds questions.

Stage 3
3
Settling In

Recurring transfers for rent, mortgage deposits, school fees and family support. Same-day shekel transfers via Zahav when timing matters. Multi-currency wallet keeps your savings ready in USD, GBP or EUR until you're ready to convert.

Stage 4
4
Long-Term Olim

Pension repatriation, inheritance transfers, property purchases, transfers back abroad — we handle them all, including the Bank of Israel paperwork. Many of our clients have been with us for over a decade.

Account Opening

It depends on where you live and which IDs you hold — we'll guide you every step. If you hold two Israeli IDs, you can register fully online (5–10 minutes), and once your details are reviewed and approved we'll send a digital document to sign. If you don't hold two Israeli IDs, we either verify via an Israeli lawyer who's seen your documents (you'll then complete a Beneficiary Declaration), or we meet you face to face — at our Jerusalem or Ramat Gan offices, or via one of our representatives worldwide. Once the meeting is complete, your account is opened within 48 hours.
Two government-issued photo IDs to set up your account. If you're transferring funds via a business entity or trust, additional ID documents will be required. Our onboarding team walks you through exactly what's needed for your situation.
Yes — and most olim do. We have KYC representatives worldwide, so we can meet you in your home country before you fly. Pre-Aliyah account opening means your transfer infrastructure is ready the moment you land, and you can lock today's rate with a forward contract regardless of when your funds will actually arrive.
Accounts are opened under one name only, but you can grant a Power of Attorney to a spouse or family member to operate the account on your behalf. The account remains in your name throughout.

Sending & Receiving Funds

By wire transfer. Once your account is open, log into the online portal or mobile app — under "Our Bank Details" you'll find the wire instructions for your bank, available as a PDF download. The beneficiary on every wire is IsraTransfer Ltd.
We typically receive your wire by the next business day. Funds then need to clear with the bank, which generally takes another 1–2 business days. Once cleared, conversion and onward transfer to your Israeli account take place the same day. We recommend approving your source-of-funds documents before you send the wire to keep things moving.
Yes — via a Zahav transfer. You'll need the recipient's Zahav (IBAN) number. Zahav incurs a 70 NIS fee and must be requested before 12:30 IST on a working day (Sunday–Thursday). Once sent, it arrives within an hour and cannot be cancelled.
Absolutely. Outbound transfers from Israel are part of our standard service — useful for olim with overseas pension contributions, family abroad, or property holdings outside Israel. Some Bank of Israel documentation is required; please speak with your account manager before initiating an outbound transfer so we can prepare the paperwork.
It depends on the transaction. Most commonly we'll ask for source-of-funds evidence — a tax return, property sale contract, investment statement, or CPA letter. These are required by banking regulations to prevent money laundering. Your account manager will tell you exactly what's needed for your specific transfer.

Rates, Conversion & Trading

The rate quoted in the portal already includes our fees and is based on the live mid-market (interbank) rate. We aim to get you as close to the interbank rate as possible — typically 1–3% better than high-street banks. You can cross-check the mid-market rate at xe.com.
Online portal: Mon–Thu 09:00–20:00 IST, Fri 09:00–12:30 IST. Telephone trading: Mon–Thu 09:00–18:00 IST. No trading on Sundays.
Minimum: USD $10,000 (or equivalent). Maximum: there is no upper limit, but supporting documentation is required for larger amounts to satisfy banking regulations.
No. Once a conversion is confirmed it cannot be cancelled — the rate has been locked with our counterparty. A subsequent transfer (the wire to your beneficiary) can be cancelled if the funds haven't yet been released; contact us immediately if you need to do this.

Portal & Mobile App

Yes — search for "IsraTransfer" on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The app supports biometric login (Face ID / fingerprint), full transfer functionality, rate alerts and conversion history.
In the portal main menu, navigate to "Recipients" and click "Add Recipient". You can store as many beneficiaries as you need — your own accounts, family members' accounts, landlords, lawyers, and so on. Each is reusable for future transfers.

Trust & Security

Yes. IsraTransfer is licensed and regulated by Israel Securities Authority. We report directly to the Anti-Money-Laundering Prohibition Authority and we adhere to all AML and KYC requirements.
We've been in business since 2008 and hold an extended licence — meaning we operate under strict cybersecurity laws and minimum capital requirements. We are ISO 27001 certified for information security. Client funds are kept segregated in a dedicated client account, separate from company funds.
