The IsraTransfer Shekel Report β First Half of 2026 is here
The first half of 2026 will be remembered as one of the strongest stretches for the shekel in a generation. A durable northern-front ceasefire, record foreign investment, and a broadly softer US dollar drove USD/ILS from 3.18 in early January to a three-decade low of 2.81 by late May β before easing back toward 3.00 in June.
The shekel ended the half stronger against every major currency: USD, EUR, GBP, CAD and AUD.
