  • How can I retrieve or reset my password?
    Please note that IsraTansfer staff is unable to access your login information. In order to reset a forgotten password you must click the “Forgot Password” link on the login screen and a password reset link will be sent to the email address you used for registration. Upon clicking the reset link you will then be prompted to create a new password.
  • What is my Username and Password?
    Username: This is the email address that you used to register. Password: During the registration process you will be prompted to create a unique password containing a minimum of eight characters, that includes at least one number and one letter. Please keep your password in a safe place, do not give it to a third party, and for additional security precautions avoid accessing the portal using a public wifi or unsecured network.
  • Why do I need to register?
    IsraTransfer adheres to Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Client (KYC) requirements, our registration requirements are bound by Israeli regulations. We cannot transact with anyone who does not register and fulfill the above requirements.
  • How do I open an account with you?
    Setting up an account is quick and simple. Please visit the registration page here, where you can fill out the appropriate online registration form. You will need to send us a copy of two forms of valid, government issued photo ID’s, which can be scanned and uploaded directly to the online registration form. Once you register, one of our representatives will be in contact with you. Depending on the circumstances, and in order to fulfill our Know Your Customer (KYC) obligations, one of our representatives may need to meet with you.
  • Why do I see an orange message "at least one is required"?"
    If you already answered the question, such as which country you are from, but continue seeing that message, just ignore it and move on to the next question.
  • What if it says my photo doesn't match my ID photo?
    Try taking the photo again in better lighting. Ensure your entire face is in the frame. Make sure the photo is close-up enough. Try to take a clearer shot of your ID. If you have glasses in your photo and not your ID, try removing your glasses.
  • I have changed my personal details – address, telephone number, email, how do I notify you?"
    Please go to “Edit My Profile” by clicking your name on the top right of the screen when logged into the portal to make any modifications.
  • I wish to change or stop notifications, how do I do this?"
    Please go to “Edit My Profile” by clicking your name on the top right of the screen when logged into the portal to make any modifications.
  • What is the IsraTransfer Online Access Portal?
    The portal is there to help manage all transfers, trades and information associated with your account. It has been created to make the customer experience better by having full control of your account.
  • Do you have a downloadable mobile app for the portal?
    Yes we do! You can find us on the Google Play store or the Apple App store. Simply search for IsraTransfer. Links are here: Apple App Store Google Play Store

  • Where can I see my balances?
    On the Home Page (first screen) when you enter the portal at the top of the page you will see the balances of each currency. It will also show underneath this, if there are any pending funds waiting to be added to your balance.
  • Where do I add attachments for transfers?
    When you initiate a transfer, there is a section on the screen that asks to enter the amount to upload a document. You can also add your attachments and all documents by clicking on the ‘more’ tab, then ‘upload documents tab’.
  • How to make a transfer?
    Click on the ‘send’ button in the navigation bar in order to initiate a transfer. Please remember, you can only make a transfer after you have converted funds.
  • How do I add a payee/beneficiary?
    Click on the recipients button in the navigation bar. This will take you to a page which displays all your current beneficiaries. In order to create a new beneficiary click on the “add new” button.
  • How do I trade money?
    You can access the trade money screen by selecting ‘Convert’ from the menu. Once in the convert section you initially need to choose what currency you want to ‘sell’ and what currency you wish to ‘buy’. Then proceed to enter the amount you wish to sell (alternatively enter the amount you wish to buy) and then press ‘Get Rate’. An exchange rate will be displayed, also with the calculation of how much you are selling and buying. To accept this, and complete the conversion you need to tick the box to agree the terms and press continue. This will then take you to a screen that summarizes your conversion.   • How long do I have to make a trade on the portal?
    When you go to the trade section of the portal, and start the process of converting the money it will display your current exchange rate. You have 30 seconds to approve the conversion, after which it will refresh your rate and start the 30 seconds. After 3 attempts it will take you back to start again.
  • How do I reset my password?
    Click on the “forgot your password” button and you will receive an email to the email address connected to your account. https://isratransfer.my.site.com/it/ForgotPassword
  • What is my username?
    Your username is the email address you used to register your account.
  • How does my Power of Attorney (POA) log in to the portal?
    There is no separate user for a POA. However, your POA can contact us via phone/email for further assistance.
  • How can I change my telephone number?
    You can change your phone number via the settings section of the portal. It will ask you for your previous number and will send you a One Time Password (OTP) to verify it.
  • Can I delete a recipient?
    Yes. In order to delete a recipient, please go to recipients in the navigation bar. Then select the recipient you wish to delete. Once selected there should be an icon that looks like a trash bin that you can click on to delete the recipient.
  • Will conversions I make outside of the portal also show up on my portal?
    Yes! All transactions, be it transfers, trades and beneficiaries will appear on the portal whether you did this via the portal or not.
  • Is the portal secure?
    Yes very much so. Some of the security features are listed below... SSL Technology: This protects your information by making sure only the right people can see it and keeping it safe during transfer. Session Cookie: This is like a temporary key that remembers you for a short time but doesn't store your username or password. Secure Server: Your information is stored in a special server that has extra protection that is built to manage malicious activity. Reliable Storage: Your data is saved on strong, safe disks that work together to make sure it's always available. Backups: Your data is copied and saved in another place very quickly, so if something goes wrong, we still have all the important information.
  • How do I activate Face ID/fingerprint recognition on the app?
    When you first download our app, if you have face id/fingerprint recognition turned on, it will prompt you whether to allow it for this app. If you do not have it turned on for your device you will need to look up how to turn it on for your particular device
  • How do I pay a property voucher?
    On the menu, accessible on any page, there is a section called ‘Send’. From the drop down options, please select ‘Property Voucher’. You will then be prompted to choose whether you want to pay for a voucher that you have given us, or one that you will provide. Once selected, follow the instructions regarding the amount you wish to pay.
  • Do you have online chat on the portal?
    Yes we do! You can access this via the blue bubble button on the bottom right of the screen.
  • How do I log out of the portal?
    The portal will automatically log you out if inactive for 15 minutes on a desktop. On the mobile app when you close it, you cannot get back in without re-entering your password or using biometrics (face id or fingerprint). Alternatively, click on the person icon at the top left of the page and then select ‘Log out’.
  • What push notifications are sent via the mobile App?
    Push notifications you will receive are in order for you to confirm a transfer.
  • Where can I see the bank details to wire money to IsraTransfer?
    On the menu, accessible on any page there is a section called ‘Our Wire details’.On this page you will see the wire details you will need to give to your bank in order to send funds to us.There is also the option to download them as a PDF file from this page.
  • If I transfer money to your US account how do I convert the money and send it to Israel?
    As an existing client of IsraTransfer you should be used to how the process works. There is NO change in the process of converting your money or any delay in you receiving your Shekels in Israel. The ONLY difference is you are sending money to IsraTransfer locally in the US rather than making an international transfer.Once we receive your money in our US account, your money will be available to convert via our online portal.
  • What rate do you use to convert clients money?
    We use the interbank rate at the time we speak with the client, this rate is moving every few seconds. We then deduct the agreed percentage to calculate the clients exchange rate.
  • How do I calculate exactly how much money I receive in the exchange?
    Rates fluctuate every few minutes. Once you call us, we will quote you the exact transfer rate, show you how it’s calculated and how much money you will receive.
  • How long do transfers take to be made?
    As a general guideline, and depending on the time of day, transfers are made on the same business day they are initiated and will be received in your bank account the next business day. If you have asked for a third party transfer, this may take a little longer in order to allow for possible compliance checks.
  • How do I know when a transfer has been completed?
    If you have signed up for notifications you will receive an SMS/email message. Notifications can be set up in “Edit My Profile,” accessible by clicking your name found in the top right corner of the screen when logged into the portal.
  • I have made a transfer online, can this be cancelled?"
    Generally transfers can not be cancelled, however, please contact the office immediately and we will endeavour to place a stop on the transfer.
  • Do you cash checks?
    Unfortunately, we do not cash checks.
  • Do you exchange cash?
    We do not exchange cash. We transact solely through bank transfers.
  • Do you transfer from Israel to other countries?
    Yes, we are able to convert your funds and wire to another country, as long as the funds originate from a bank account in your name and will be wired to a bank account in your name (i.e not to a third party). If you wish to wire to a third party, a special tax document will allow us to make the transfer, please call us for further information . Due to the bureaucracy and high charges associated with these transfers, the minimum amount is 40,000 NIS.
  • May I make a third party a beneficiary of a transfer?
    You may do this, however, IsraTransfer will review the request before any transfer can be processed. Please note that extra documentation may be required, and acceptance is at IsraTransfer’s sole discretion.
  • I want to pay an invoice. What documents do I need?
    In order to pay an invoice we require a copy of the invoice. The invoice must contain on it the company number of who you are paying.
  • How do I pay a Tax voucher?
    On the menu, accessible on any page, there is a section called ‘Send’. From the drop down options please select ‘Tax Voucher’. You will be prompted to enter the amount of the voucher, and upload a copy to pay (if you have not given it to us previously). We will then make the payment at the next available time we can.
  • What is my "expected annual activity in shekels"?"
    This refers to the amount of shekels you expect to transfer in a given year. Answer this the best you can, but it doesn't commit you to anything. Even if you wind up overestimating the annual amount, you aren't obligated to transfer that amount, so write the maximum number you think this could be.
  • How do I upload a video?
    To upload your video, click on the "click here to upload" image. You will then be prompted to open your device's video camera. On an iPhone (right image), click "take a photo or a video". On an Android device (left image), choose the icon that says "Camera Camcorder". The regular camera icon will only allow you to take a photo, not a video.
  • What are FedWire transfers?
    A FedWire transfer is a method of transferring funds from one account in the USA to another account in the USA. A FedWire is normally received by IsraTransfer the same day it is received. Your US bank will probably charge a small fee to make this type of transfer. (This fee is normally less than wiring the money internationally, and more expensive than an ACH transfer). All US banks should be able to make a FedWire for you.
  • What is an ACH transfer?
    ACH stands for Automated Clearing House. It is a method of transferring money from one US bank account to another US bank account. Not all banks will offer this method of transfer. An ACH transfer is normally free of charge from your bank, BUT it can take up to 4 days for IsraTransfer to receive your money.
  • Is an ACH transfer the same thing as a wire transfer?
    NO. We cannot stress this point enough. As described above they are different methods of transferring money within the US, they take different amount of time for us to receive the money and the cost is different.
  • What are the costs associated with making FedWire or ACH transfers?
    The fee is imposed by your US bank, and differs from bank to bank. You will need to check with your US bank to confirm the costs.
  • Can a 3rd party send a transfer on my behalf?
    If you are not sending the money from your own bank account please contact our office BEFORE making the transfer.
  • During what hours will I be able to trade my funds?
    You can convert your funds between 9am until 5:30pm Israel time (IST) Monday to Thursday and 9am until 11am Friday via our online Portal.
  • What information do I need to provide my bank in order to initiate a FedWire or ACH transfer?

  • What is the minimum transfer with IsraTransfer?
    You can transfer any amount over USD $5,000 (or the equivalent in another currency) from abroad to Israel. When making transfer from Israel to abroad the minimum is NIS 40,000.
  • Is my money safe with IsraTransfer? Are you regulated?
    We are licensed by the Israel Ministry of Finance, Currency Service Provider Unit. Our license number is 514135235. To see a copy of our license and for more information, please see this page.
  • How do I let you know of changes to my personal details?
    You can update your personal details over the phone at 074-701-8887.

  • Can I trade and transfer at any time?
    You can trade (convert) your funds Mondays - Thursdays between 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM and on Fridays between 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM. You can initiate a transfer at any time although the transfer will only be made once IsraTransfer offices are open: Sunday - Thursday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
  • Can I register or log into the portal using Facebook, Google or any other third party account?"
    For security reasons this is not possible.
  • How do I report unauthorized account access?
    Please notify us immediately if you suspect that someone has accessed your account, or feel that it has been compromised in any way. During office hours (Sunday through Thursday 09:00 – 18:00 IST), please call 074-701-8887. During non-office house, please email info@isratransfer.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
  • How are my balances credited?
    Once IsraTransfer receives funds they are added to “My Balances.” If you have signed up for notifications, you will also receive an SMS and/or email notification. Notifications can be set up in “Edit My Profile,” accessible by clicking your name found in the top right corner of the screen when logged into the portal. *For amounts over $50,000 (or equivalent), funds will be credited to “My Balances” once IsraTransfer has received all necessary supporting documentation.
  • How long does it take to receive my money?
    The amount of time that it will take to receive money being transferred to you is dependent on a number of factors. The most important factor is the length of time it takes for your bank to transfer the money to us, usually, funds are received the next business day. Once we have received your money, and you have instructed us to convert, funds will be in your bank account by the next business day. In some cases you may need to receive your money the same day, this is possible and we will need your bank account’s IBAN (also known as ZAHAV) number (23 digits). Due to the high cost of Zahav transfers, there will be an additional charge of 40 NIS.
  • How do I transfer money to you?
    We only accept wire transfers. Every bank has a different way for you to do this. For example, some banks allow a wire transfer to be completed online, others may require a fax request. Speak with your bank to find out their process. If there are any problems, we are happy to help out!
  • Someone wants to send me money from overseas. Can you help?
    In most cases, we can help transfer money to you from abroad, although it depends on the reason for the transfer. Please speak to one of our experts to get a specific answer for your unique case.
  • How do you know that my money has been received?
    When we receive foreign currency to our account, the bank always sends us a copy of the accompanying SWIFT message, detailing the amount received, the name, address and bank of the sender. We will then call the client to receive permission to convert their funds.
  • Can I convert funds that haven’t yet been received by IsraTransfer?
    No, IsraTransfer must acknowledge that funds have been received before you can use the online platform to convert them.
  • How long are quotes valid for?
    Upon requesting a quote you will be given three, twenty second windows in order to confirm the conversion. If you do not confirm the conversion within this time period, the quote will expire and you will have to re-submit your rate request.
  • How is the exchange rate calculated?
    The exchange rate displayed when you request a conversion is your net exchange rate. This is calculated using the mid market rate minus the agreed commission deducted by IsraTransfer.
  • If I have confirmed a conversion, can this be cancelled?"
    Unfortunately, once you have confirmed a conversion we are unable to cancel it.
  • How do I know if a conversion I placed has taken place?
    Once a conversion has taken place, it will be reflected in the “Conversion History” section of the portal. Here you may also view and download a copy of the conversion confirmation for your records. Additionally, if you have signed up for notifications, you will receive an SMS and/or email message once your conversion has taken place. Notifications can be set up in “Edit My Profile,” accessible by clicking your name found in the top right corner of the screen when logged into the portal.
  • Will conversions I have made outside the portal also show up in my conversion history?
    Yes, all conversions, including those made not using the portal will appear in your Conversion History.
  • Do you charge commissions or fees?
    We deduct a percentage from the interbank rate. The percentage we take depends on the amount that you are transferring. There are no other fees or commissions.
  • How do I save money?
    When transferring money directly to a bank in Israel, the Israeli bank normally charges 0.20% to receive the money, 0.20% to convert the money, and approximately 1% from the exchange rate. When transferring funds through IsraTransfer, we do not charge receiving and conversion fees. We also give a superior exchange rate than that offered by the bank.
  • Can I fix an exchange rate for a future date?
    Yes. We can help you book an exchange rate for up to one year in advance. This requires a 10% deposit in order to fix the exchange rate. Once booked, you are committed to purchasing at the fixed exchange rate for the specific date for which you booked.
  • What are the mid-market rate and interbank rate?
    The interbank or mid-market rate is the rate at which banks trade between themselves. Individuals are unable to trade at this rate. Our aim is to get your exchange rate as close as possible to the interbank rate.
  • What is the Shar Yatzig?
    From Monday to Thursday at 3:30p.m (UTC+02:00) and on Friday at 12:15 p.m, The Bank of Israel publishes an exchange rate on its website. This is the interbank rate at that exact time. It is important to remember that the interbank rate moves every few seconds, so regardless of what the Shar Yatzig is listed as, the actual rate will be different five minutes, fifty minutes and five hours later.
  • I have multiple bank accounts, may I store all of them in my Beneficiary profile in the portal?"
    Yes, if you have more than one bank account in your name you may save them all in the portal. However, please be careful to choose the correct one when you make a transfer.

    You can change your phone number via the settings section of the portal. It will ask you for your previous number and will send you a One Time Password (OTP) to verify it.
  • Can I delete a recipient?
    Yes. In order to delete a recipient, please go to recipients in the navigation bar. Then select the recipient you wish to delete. Once selected there should be an icon that looks like a trash bin that you can click on to delete the recipient.
  • Will conversions I make outside of the portal also show up on my portal?
    Yes! All transactions, be it transfers, trades and beneficiaries will appear on the portal whether you did this via the portal or not.
  • Is the portal secure?
    Yes very much so. Some of the security features are listed below... SSL Technology: This protects your information by making sure only the right people can see it and keeping it safe during transfer. Session Cookie: This is like a temporary key that remembers you for a short time but doesn't store your username or password. Secure Server: Your information is stored in a special server that has extra protection that is built to manage malicious activity. Reliable Storage: Your data is saved on strong, safe disks that work together to make sure it's always available. Backups: Your data is copied and saved in another place very quickly, so if something goes wrong, we still have all the important information.
  • How do I activate Face ID/fingerprint recognition on the app?
    When you first download our app, if you have face id/fingerprint recognition turned on, it will prompt you whether to allow it for this app. If you do not have it turned on for your device you will need to look up how to turn it on for your particular device
  • How do I pay a property voucher?
    On the menu, accessible on any page, there is a section called ‘Send’. From the drop down options, please select ‘Property Voucher’. You will then be prompted to choose whether you want to pay for a voucher that you have given us, or one that you will provide. Once selected, follow the instructions regarding the amount you wish to pay.
  • Do you have online chat on the portal?
    Yes we do! You can access this via the blue bubble button on the bottom right of the screen.
  • How do I log out of the portal?
    The portal will automatically log you out if inactive for 15 minutes on a desktop. On the mobile app when you close it, you cannot get back in without re-entering your password or using biometrics (face id or fingerprint). Alternatively, click on the person icon at the top left of the page and then select ‘Log out’.
  • What push notifications are sent via the mobile App?
    Push notifications you will receive are in order for you to confirm a transfer.
  • Where can I see the bank details to wire money to IsraTransfer?
    On the menu, accessible on any page there is a section called ‘Our Wire details’.On this page you will see the wire details you will need to give to your bank in order to send funds to us.There is also the option to download them as a PDF file from this page.
  • If I transfer money to your US account how do I convert the money and send it to Israel?
    As an existing client of IsraTransfer you should be used to how the process works. There is NO change in the process of converting your money or any delay in you receiving your Shekels in Israel. The ONLY difference is you are sending money to IsraTransfer locally in the US rather than making an international transfer.Once we receive your money in our US account, your money will be available to convert via our online portal.
  • What rate do you use to convert clients money?
    We use the interbank rate at the time we speak with the client, this rate is moving every few seconds. We then deduct the agreed percentage to calculate the clients exchange rate.
  • How do I calculate exactly how much money I receive in the exchange?
    Rates fluctuate every few minutes. Once you call us, we will quote you the exact transfer rate, show you how it’s calculated and how much money you will receive.
  • How long do transfers take to be made?
    As a general guideline, and depending on the time of day, transfers are made on the same business day they are initiated and will be received in your bank account the next business day. If you have asked for a third party transfer, this may take a little longer in order to allow for possible compliance checks.
  • How do I know when a transfer has been completed?
    If you have signed up for notifications you will receive an SMS/email message. Notifications can be set up in “Edit My Profile,” accessible by clicking your name found in the top right corner of the screen when logged into the portal.
  • I have made a transfer online, can this be cancelled?"
    Generally transfers can not be cancelled, however, please contact the office immediately and we will endeavour to place a stop on the transfer.
  • Do you cash checks?
    Unfortunately, we do not cash checks.
  • Do you exchange cash?
    We do not exchange cash. We transact solely through bank transfers.
  • Do you transfer from Israel to other countries?
    Yes, we are able to convert your funds and wire to another country, as long as the funds originate from a bank account in your name and will be wired to a bank account in your name (i.e not to a third party). If you wish to wire to a third party, a special tax document will allow us to make the transfer, please call us for further information . Due to the bureaucracy and high charges associated with these transfers, the minimum amount is 40,000 NIS.
  • May I make a third party a beneficiary of a transfer?
    You may do this, however, IsraTransfer will review the request before any transfer can be processed. Please note that extra documentation may be required, and acceptance is at IsraTransfer’s sole discretion.
  • I want to pay an invoice. What documents do I need?
    In order to pay an invoice we require a copy of the invoice. The invoice must contain on it the company number of who you are paying.
  • How do I pay a Tax voucher?

You will be prompted to enter the amount of the voucher, and upload a copy to pay (if you have not given it to us previously). We will then make the payment at the next available time we can.

    This refers to the amount of shekels you expect to transfer in a given year. Answer this the best you can, but it doesn't commit you to anything. Even if you wind up overestimating the annual amount, you aren't obligated to transfer that amount, so write the maximum number you think this could be.
  • How do I upload a video?
    To upload your video, click on the "click here to upload" image. You will then be prompted to open your device's video camera. On an iPhone (right image), click "take a photo or a video". On an Android device (left image), choose the icon that says "Camera Camcorder". The regular camera icon will only allow you to take a photo, not a video.

  • Can I register or log into the portal using Facebook, Google or any other third party account?"
    For security reasons this is not possible.
  • How do I report unauthorized account access?
    Please notify us immediately if you suspect that someone has accessed your account, or feel that it has been compromised in any way.   • How are my balances credited?
    Once IsraTransfer receives funds they are added to “My Balances.” If you have signed up for notifications, you will also receive an SMS and/or email notification. Notifications can be set up in “Edit My Profile,” accessible by clicking your name found in the top right corner of the screen when logged into the portal. *For amounts over $50,000 (or equivalent), funds will be credited to “My Balances” once IsraTransfer has received all necessary supporting documentation.
  • How long does it take to receive my money?
    The amount of time that it will take to receive money being transferred to you is dependent on a number of factors. The most important factor is the length of time it takes for your bank to transfer the money to us, usually, funds are received the next business day. Once we have received your money, and you have instructed us to convert, funds will be in your bank account by the next business day. In some cases you may need to receive your money the same day, this is possible and we will need your bank account’s IBAN (also known as ZAHAV) number (23 digits). Due to the high cost of Zahav transfers, there will be an additional charge of 40 NIS.
  • How do I transfer money to you?
    We only accept wire transfers. Every bank has a different way for you to do this. For example, some banks allow a wire transfer to be completed online, others may require a fax request. Speak with your bank to find out their process. If there are any problems, we are happy to help out!
  • Someone wants to send me money from overseas. Can you help?
    In most cases, we can help transfer money to you from abroad, although it depends on the reason for the transfer. Please speak to one of our experts to get a specific answer for your unique case.
  • How do you know that my money has been received?
    When we receive foreign currency to our account, the bank always sends us a copy of the accompanying SWIFT message, detailing the amount received, the name, address and bank of the sender. We will then call the client to receive permission to convert their funds.
  • Can I convert funds that haven’t yet been received by IsraTransfer?
    No, IsraTransfer must acknowledge that funds have been received before you can use the online platform to convert them.
  • How long are quotes valid for?
    Upon requesting a quote you will be given three, twenty second windows in order to confirm the conversion. If you do not confirm the conversion within this time period, the quote will expire and you will have to re-submit your rate request.
  • How is the exchange rate calculated?
    The exchange rate displayed when you request a conversion is your net exchange rate. This is calculated using the mid market rate minus the agreed commission deducted by IsraTransfer.
  • If I have confirmed a conversion, can this be cancelled?"
    Unfortunately, once you have confirmed a conversion we are unable to cancel it.
  • How do I know if a conversion I placed has taken place?
    Once a conversion has taken place, it will be reflected in the “Conversion History” section of the portal. Here you may also view and download a copy of the conversion confirmation for your records.   • Do you charge commissions or fees?
    We deduct a percentage from the interbank rate. The percentage we take depends on the amount that you are transferring. There are no other fees or commissions.
  • How do I save money?
    When transferring money directly to a bank in Israel, the Israeli bank normally charges 0.20% to receive the money, 0.20% to convert the money, and approximately 1% from the exchange rate. When transferring funds through IsraTransfer, we do not charge receiving and conversion fees. We also give a superior exchange rate than that offered by the bank.
  • Can I fix an exchange rate for a future date?
    Yes. We can help you book an exchange rate for up to one year in advance. This requires a 10% deposit in order to fix the exchange rate. Once booked, you are committed to purchasing at the fixed exchange rate for the specific date for which you booked.
  • What are the mid-market rate and interbank rate?
    The interbank or mid-market rate is the rate at which banks trade between themselves. Individuals are unable to trade at this rate. Our aim is to get your exchange rate as close as possible to the interbank rate.
  • What is the Shar Yatzig?
    From Monday to Thursday at 3:30p.m (UTC+02:00) and on Friday at 12:15 p.m, The Bank of Israel publishes an exchange rate on its website. This is the interbank rate at that exact time. It is important to remember that the interbank rate moves every few seconds, so regardless of what the Shar Yatzig is listed as, the actual rate will be different five minutes, fifty minutes and five hours later.
  • I have multiple bank accounts, may I store all of them in my Beneficiary profile in the portal?"
    Yes, if you have more than one bank account in your name you may save them all in the portal. However, please be careful to choose the correct one when you make a transfer.
  • How can I retrieve or reset my password?
    Please note that IsraTansfer staff is unable to access your login information. In order to reset a forgotten password you must click the “Forgot Password” link on the login screen and a password reset link will be sent to the email address you used for registration. Upon clicking the reset link you will then be prompted to create a new password.
  • What is my Username and Password?
    Username: This is the email address that you used to register. Password: During the registration process you will be prompted to create a unique password containing a minimum of eight characters, that includes at least one number and one letter. Please keep your password in a safe place, do not give it to a third party, and for additional security precautions avoid accessing the portal using a public wifi or unsecured network.
  • Why do I need to register?
    IsraTransfer adheres to Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Client (KYC) requirements, our registration requirements are bound by Israeli regulations. We cannot transact with anyone who does not register and fulfill the above requirements.
  • How do I open an account with you?
    Setting up an account is quick and simple. Please visit the registration page here, where you can fill out the appropriate online registration form. You will need to send us a copy of two forms of valid, government issued photo ID’s, which can be scanned and uploaded directly to the online registration form. Once you register, one of our representatives will be in contact with you.   • Why do I see an orange message "at least one is required"?"
    If you already answered the question, such as which country you are from, but continue seeing that message, just ignore it and move on to the next question.
  • What if it says my photo doesn't match my ID photo?
    Try taking the photo again in better lighting. Ensure your entire face is in the frame. Make sure the photo is close-up enough. Try to take a clearer shot of your ID. If you have glasses in your photo and not your ID, try removing your glasses.
  • I have changed my personal details – address, telephone number, email, how do I notify you?"

  • Where can I see my balances?
    On the Home Page (first screen) when you enter the portal at the top of the page you will see the balances of each currency. It will also show underneath this, if there are any pending funds waiting to be added to your balance.
  • Where do I add attachments for transfers?
    When you initiate a transfer, there is a section on the screen that asks to enter the amount to upload a document. You can also add your attachments and all documents by clicking on the ‘more’ tab, then ‘upload documents tab’.
  • How to make a transfer?
    Click on the ‘send’ button in the navigation bar in order to initiate a transfer. Please remember, you can only make a transfer after you have converted funds.
  • How do I add a payee/beneficiary?
    Click on the recipients button in the navigation bar. This will take you to a page which displays all your current beneficiaries. In order to create a new beneficiary click on the “add new” button.
  • How do I trade money?
    You can access the trade money screen by selecting ‘Convert’ from the menu. Once in the convert section you initially need to choose what currency you want to ‘sell’ and what currency you wish to ‘buy’. Then proceed to enter the amount you wish to sell (alternatively enter the amount you wish to buy) and then press ‘Get Rate’. An exchange rate will be displayed, also with the calculation of how much you are selling and buying. To accept this, and complete the conversion you need to tick the box to agree the terms and press continue. This will then take you to a screen that summarizes your conversion.   • How long do I have to make a trade on the portal?
    When you go to the trade section of the portal, and start the process of converting the money it will display your current exchange rate. You have 30 seconds to approve the conversion, after which it will refresh your rate and start the 30 seconds. After 3 attempts it will take you back to start again.
  • How do I reset my password?

  • How do I report unauthorized account access?
    Please notify us immediately if you suspect that someone has accessed your account, or feel that it has been compromised in any way.   • How are my balances credited?
    Once IsraTransfer receives funds they are added to “My Balances.” If you have signed up for notifications, you will also receive an SMS and/or email notification. Notifications can be set up in “Edit My Profile,” accessible by clicking your name found in the top right corner of the screen when logged into the portal. *For amounts over $50,000 (or equivalent), funds will be credited to “My Balances” once IsraTransfer has received all necessary supporting documentation.
  • How long does it take to receive my money?
    The amount of time that it will take to receive money being transferred to you is dependent on a number of factors. The most important factor is the length of time it takes for your bank to transfer the money to us, usually, funds are received the next business day. Once we have received your money, and you have instructed us to convert, funds will be in your bank account by the next business day. In some cases you may need to receive your money the same day, this is possible and we will need your bank account’s IBAN (also known as ZAHAV) number (23 digits). Due to the high cost of Zahav transfers, there will be an additional charge of 40 NIS.
  • How do I transfer money to you?
    We only accept wire transfers. Every bank has a different way for you to do this. For example, some banks allow a wire transfer to be completed online, others may require a fax request. Speak with your bank to find out their process. If there are any problems, we are happy to help out!
  • Someone wants to send me money from overseas. Can you help?
    In most cases, we can help transfer money to you from abroad, although it depends on the reason for the transfer. Please speak to one of our experts to get a specific answer for your unique case.
  • How do you know that my money has been received?
    When we receive foreign currency to our account, the bank always sends us a copy of the accompanying SWIFT message, detailing the amount received, the name, address and bank of the sender. We will then call the client to receive permission to convert their funds.
  • Can I convert funds that haven’t yet been received by IsraTransfer?
    No, IsraTransfer must acknowledge that funds have been received before you can use the online platform to convert them.
  • How long are quotes valid for?
    Upon requesting a quote you will be given three, twenty second windows in order to confirm the conversion. If you do not confirm the conversion within this time period, the quote will expire and you will have to re-submit your rate request.
  • How is the exchange rate calculated?
    The exchange rate displayed when you request a conversion is your net exchange rate. This is calculated using the mid market rate minus the agreed commission deducted by IsraTransfer.
  • If I have confirmed a conversion, can this be cancelled?"
    Unfortunately, once you have confirmed a conversion we are unable to cancel it.
  • How do I know if a conversion I placed has taken place?
    Once a conversion has taken place, it will be reflected in the “Conversion History” section of the portal. Here you may also view and download a copy of the conversion confirmation for your records. Additionally, if you have signed up for notifications, you will receive an SMS and/or email message once your conversion has taken place. Notifications can be set up in “Edit My Profile,” accessible by clicking your name found in the top right corner of the screen when logged into the portal.
  • Will conversions I have made outside the portal also show up in my conversion history?
    Yes, all conversions, including those made not using the portal will appear in your Conversion History.
  • Do you charge commissions or fees?
    We deduct a percentage from the interbank rate. The percentage we take depends on the amount that you are transferring. There are no other fees or commissions.
  • How do I save money?
    When transferring money directly to a bank in Israel, the Israeli bank normally charges 0.20% to receive the money, 0.20% to convert the money, and approximately 1% from the exchange rate. When transferring funds through IsraTransfer, we do not charge receiving and conversion fees. We also give a superior exchange rate than that offered by the bank.
  • Can I fix an exchange rate for a future date?
    Yes. We can help you book an exchange rate for up to one year in advance. This requires a 10% deposit in order to fix the exchange rate. Once booked, you are committed to purchasing at the fixed exchange rate for the specific date for which you booked.
  • What are the mid-market rate and interbank rate?
    The interbank or mid-market rate is the rate at which banks trade between themselves. Individuals are unable to trade at this rate. Our aim is to get your exchange rate as close as possible to the interbank rate.
  • What is the Shar Yatzig?
    From Monday to Thursday at 3:30p.m (UTC+02:00) and on Friday at 12:15 p.m, The Bank of Israel publishes an exchange rate on its website. This is the interbank rate at that exact time. It is important to remember that the interbank rate moves every few seconds, so regardless of what the Shar Yatzig is listed as, the actual rate will be different five minutes, fifty minutes and five hours later.
  • I have multiple bank accounts, may I store all of them in my Beneficiary profile in the portal?"
    Yes, if you have more than one bank account in your name you may save them all in the portal. However, please be careful to choose the correct one when you make a transfer.

  • How can I retrieve or reset my password?
    Please note that IsraTansfer staff is unable to access your login information. In order to reset a forgotten password you must click the “Forgot Password” link on the login screen and a password reset link will be sent to the email address you used for registration. Upon clicking the reset link you will then be prompted to create a new password.
  • What is my Username and Password?
    Username: This is the email address that you used to register. Password: During the registration process you will be prompted to create a unique password containing a minimum of eight characters, that includes at least one number and one letter.   • Why do I need to register?

  • How do I open an account with you?

  • Why do I see an orange message "at least one is required"?"
    If you already answered the question, such as which country you are from, but continue seeing that message, just ignore it and move on to the next question.
  • What if it says my photo doesn't match my ID photo?
    Try taking the photo again in better lighting. Ensure your entire face is in the frame. Make sure the photo is close-up enough. Try to take a clearer shot of your ID. If you have glasses in your photo and not your ID, try removing your glasses.

  • Where can I see my balances?
    On the Home Page (first screen) when you enter the portal at the top of the page you will see the balances of each currency. It will also show underneath this, if there are any pending funds waiting to be added to your balance.
  • Where do I add attachments for transfers?
    When you initiate a transfer, there is a section on the screen that asks to enter the amount to upload a document. You can also add your attachments and all documents by clicking on the ‘more’ tab, then ‘upload documents tab’.
  • How to make a transfer?
    Click on the ‘send’ button in the navigation bar in order to initiate a transfer. Please remember, you can only make a transfer after you have converted funds.
  • How do I add a payee/beneficiary?
    Click on the recipients button in the navigation bar. This will take you to a page which displays all your current beneficiaries. In order to create a new beneficiary click on the “add new” button.
  • How do I trade money?
    You can access the trade money screen by selecting ‘Convert’ from the menu. Once in the convert section you initially need to choose what currency you want to ‘sell’ and what currency you wish to ‘buy’. Then proceed to enter the amount you wish to sell (alternatively enter the amount you wish to buy) and then press ‘Get Rate’. An exchange rate will be displayed, also with the calculation of how much you are selling and buying. To accept this, and complete the conversion you need to tick the box to agree the terms and press continue. This will then take you to a screen that summarizes your conversion.   • How long do I have to make a trade on the portal?
    When you go to the trade section of the portal, and start the process of converting the money it will display your current exchange rate. You have 30 seconds to approve the conversion, after which it will refresh your rate and start the 30 seconds. After 3 attempts it will take you back to start again.
  • How do I reset my password?

  • What is my username?
    Your username is the email address you used to register your account.
  • How does my Power of Attorney (POA) log in to the portal?
    There is no separate user for a POA. However, your POA can contact us via phone/email for further assistance.
  • How can I change my telephone number?
    You can change your phone number via the settings section of the portal. It will ask you for your previous number and will send you a One Time Password (OTP) to verify it.
  • Can I delete a recipient?
    Yes. In order to delete a recipient, please go to recipients in the navigation bar. Then select the recipient you wish to delete. Once selected there should be an icon that looks like a trash bin that you can click on to delete the recipient.
  • Will conversions I make outside of the portal also show up on my portal?
    Yes! All transactions, be it transfers, trades and beneficiaries will appear on the portal whether you did this via the portal or not.
  • Is the portal secure?
    Yes very much so. Some of the security features are listed below... SSL Technology: This protects your information by making sure only the right people can see it and keeping it safe during transfer. Session Cookie: This is like a temporary key that remembers you for a short time but doesn't store your username or password. Secure Server: Your information is stored in a special server that has extra protection that is built to manage malicious activity. Reliable Storage: Your data is saved on strong, safe disks that work together to make sure it's always available. Backups: Your data is copied and saved in another place very quickly, so if something goes wrong, we still have all the important information.
  • How do I activate Face ID/fingerprint recognition on the app?
    When you first download our app, if you have face id/fingerprint recognition turned on, it will prompt you whether to allow it for this app. If you do not have it turned on for your device you will need to look up how to turn it on for your particular device
  • How do I pay a property voucher?

  • How do I log out of the portal?
    The portal will automatically log you out if inactive for 15 minutes on a desktop. On the mobile app when you close it, you cannot get back in without re-entering your password or using biometrics (face id or fingerprint). Alternatively, click on the person icon at the top left of the page and then select ‘Log out’.
  • What push notifications are sent via the mobile App?
    Push notifications you will receive are in order for you to confirm a transfer.

If you have asked for a third party transfer, this may take a little longer in order to allow for possible compliance checks.

If you wish to wire to a third party, a special tax document will allow us to make the transfer, please call us for further information . Due to the bureaucracy and high charges associated with these transfers, the minimum amount is 40,000 NIS.
  • May I make a third party a beneficiary of a transfer?
    You may do this, however, IsraTransfer will review the request before any transfer can be processed. Please note that extra documentation may be required, and acceptance is at IsraTransfer’s sole discretion.

  • Can I register or log into the portal using Facebook, Google or any other third party account?"
    For security reasons this is not possible.
  • How do I report unauthorized account access?
    Please notify us immediately if you suspect that someone has accessed your account, or feel that it has been compromised in any way.   • How are my balances credited?
    Once IsraTransfer receives funds they are added to “My Balances.” If you have signed up for notifications, you will also receive an SMS and/or email notification. Notifications can be set up in “Edit My Profile,” accessible by clicking your name found in the top right corner of the screen when logged into the portal. *For amounts over $50,000 (or equivalent), funds will be credited to “My Balances” once IsraTransfer has received all necessary supporting documentation.
  • How long does it take to receive my money?
    The amount of time that it will take to receive money being transferred to you is dependent on a number of factors. The most important factor is the length of time it takes for your bank to transfer the money to us, usually, funds are received the next business day. Once we have received your money, and you have instructed us to convert, funds will be in your bank account by the next business day. In some cases you may need to receive your money the same day, this is possible and we will need your bank account’s IBAN (also known as ZAHAV) number (23 digits). Due to the high cost of Zahav transfers, there will be an additional charge of 40 NIS.
  • How do I transfer money to you?
    We only accept wire transfers. Every bank has a different way for you to do this. For example, some banks allow a wire transfer to be completed online, others may require a fax request. Speak with your bank to find out their process. If there are any problems, we are happy to help out!
  • Someone wants to send me money from overseas. Can you help?
    In most cases, we can help transfer money to you from abroad, although it depends on the reason for the transfer. Please speak to one of our experts to get a specific answer for your unique case.
  • How do you know that my money has been received?
    When we receive foreign currency to our account, the bank always sends us a copy of the accompanying SWIFT message, detailing the amount received, the name, address and bank of the sender. We will then call the client to receive permission to convert their funds.
  • Can I convert funds that haven’t yet been received by IsraTransfer?
    No, IsraTransfer must acknowledge that funds have been received before you can use the online platform to convert them.
  • How long are quotes valid for?
    Upon requesting a quote you will be given three, twenty second windows in order to confirm the conversion. If you do not confirm the conversion within this time period, the quote will expire and you will have to re-submit your rate request.
  • How is the exchange rate calculated?
    The exchange rate displayed when you request a conversion is your net exchange rate. This is calculated using the mid market rate minus the agreed commission deducted by IsraTransfer.
  • If I have confirmed a conversion, can this be cancelled?"
    Unfortunately, once you have confirmed a conversion we are unable to cancel it.
  • How do I know if a conversion I placed has taken place?
    Once a conversion has taken place, it will be reflected in the “Conversion History” section of the portal. Here you may also view and download a copy of the conversion confirmation for your records. Additionally, if you have signed up for notifications, you will receive an SMS and/or email message once your conversion has taken place. Notifications can be set up in “Edit My Profile,” accessible by clicking your name found in the top right corner of the screen when logged into the portal.
  • Will conversions I have made outside the portal also show up in my conversion history?
    Yes, all conversions, including those made not using the portal will appear in your Conversion History.
  • Do you charge commissions or fees?
    We deduct a percentage from the interbank rate. The percentage we take depends on the amount that you are transferring. There are no other fees or commissions.
  • How do I save money?
    When transferring money directly to a bank in Israel, the Israeli bank normally charges 0.20% to receive the money, 0.20% to convert the money, and approximately 1% from the exchange rate. When transferring funds through IsraTransfer, we do not charge receiving and conversion fees. We also give a superior exchange rate than that offered by the bank.
  • Can I fix an exchange rate for a future date?
    Yes. We can help you book an exchange rate for up to one year in advance. This requires a 10% deposit in order to fix the exchange rate. Once booked, you are committed to purchasing at the fixed exchange rate for the specific date for which you booked.
  • What are the mid-market rate and interbank rate?
    The interbank or mid-market rate is the rate at which banks trade between themselves. Individuals are unable to trade at this rate. Our aim is to get your exchange rate as close as possible to the interbank rate.
  • What is the Shar Yatzig?
    From Monday to Thursday at 3:30p.m (UTC+02:00) and on Friday at 12:15 p.m, The Bank of Israel publishes an exchange rate on its website. This is the interbank rate at that exact time. It is important to remember that the interbank rate moves every few seconds, so regardless of what the Shar Yatzig is listed as, the actual rate will be different five minutes, fifty minutes and five hours later.
  • I have multiple bank accounts, may I store all of them in my Beneficiary profile in the portal?"
    Yes, if you have more than one bank account in your name you may save them all in the portal. However, please be careful to choose the correct one when you make a transfer.

  • How can I retrieve or reset my password?
    Please note that IsraTansfer staff is unable to access your login information. In order to reset a forgotten password you must click the “Forgot Password” link on the login screen and a password reset link will be sent to the email address you used for registration. Upon clicking the reset link you will then be prompted to create a new password.
  • What is my Username and Password?
    Username: This is the email address that you used to register. Password: During the registration process you will be prompted to create a unique password containing a minimum of eight characters, that includes at least one number and one letter. Please keep your password in a safe place, do not give it to a third party, and for additional security precautions avoid accessing the portal using a public wifi or unsecured network.
  • Why do I need to register?
    IsraTransfer adheres to Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Client (KYC) requirements, our registration requirements are bound by Israeli regulations. We cannot transact with anyone who does not register and fulfill the above requirements.
  • How do I open an account with you?
    Setting up an account is quick and simple. Please visit the registration page here, where you can fill out the appropriate online registration form. You will need to send us a copy of two forms of valid, government issued photo ID’s, which can be scanned and uploaded directly to the online registration form. Once you register, one of our representatives will be in contact with you. Depending on the circumstances, and in order to fulfill our Know Your Customer (KYC) obligations, one of our representatives may need to meet with you.
  • Why do I see an orange message "at least one is required"?"
    If you already answered the question, such as which country you are from, but continue seeing that message, just ignore it and move on to the next question.
  • What if it says my photo doesn't match my ID photo?
    Try taking the photo again in better lighting. Ensure your entire face is in the frame. Make sure the photo is close-up enough. Try to take a clearer shot of your ID. If you have glasses in your photo and not your ID, try removing your glasses.
  • I have changed my personal details – address, telephone number, email, how do I notify you?"

  • Where can I see my balances?
    On the Home Page (first screen) when you enter the portal at the top of the page you will see the balances of each currency. It will also show underneath this, if there are any pending funds waiting to be added to your balance.
  • Where do I add attachments for transfers?
    When you initiate a transfer, there is a section on the screen that asks to enter the amount to upload a document. You can also add your attachments and all documents by clicking on the ‘more’ tab, then ‘upload documents tab’.
  • How to make a transfer?
    Click on the ‘send’ button in the navigation bar in order to initiate a transfer. Please remember, you can only make a transfer after you have converted funds.
  • How do I add a payee/beneficiary?
    Click on the recipients button in the navigation bar. This will take you to a page which displays all your current beneficiaries. In order to create a new beneficiary click on the “add new” button.
  • How do I trade money?
    You can access the trade money screen by selecting ‘Convert’ from the menu. Once in the convert section you initially need to choose what currency you want to ‘sell’ and what currency you wish to ‘buy’. Then proceed to enter the amount you wish to sell (alternatively enter the amount you wish to buy) and then press ‘Get Rate’. An exchange rate will be displayed, also with the calculation of how much you are selling and buying. To accept this, and complete the conversion you need to tick the box to agree the terms and press continue. This will then take you to a screen that summarizes your conversion.   • How long do I have to make a trade on the portal?
    When you go to the trade section of the portal, and start the process of converting the money it will display your current exchange rate. You have 30 seconds to approve the conversion, after which it will refresh your rate and start the 30 seconds. After 3 attempts it will take you back to start again.
  • How do I reset my password?

  • What is my username?
    Your username is the email address you used to register your account.
  • How does my Power of Attorney (POA) log in to the portal?
    There is no separate user for a POA. However, your POA can contact us via phone/email for further assistance.
  • How can I change my telephone number?
    You can change your phone number via the settings section of the portal. It will ask you for your previous number and will send you a One Time Password (OTP) to verify it.
  • Can I delete a recipient?
    Yes. In order to delete a recipient, please go to recipients in the navigation bar. Then select the recipient you wish to delete. Once selected there should be an icon that looks like a trash bin that you can click on to delete the recipient.
  • Will conversions I make outside of the portal also show up on my portal?
    Yes! All transactions, be it transfers, trades and beneficiaries will appear on the portal whether you did this via the portal or not.
  • Is the portal secure?
    Yes very much so. Some of the security features are listed below... SSL Technology: This protects your information by making sure only the right people can see it and keeping it safe during transfer. Session Cookie: This is like a temporary key that remembers you for a short time but doesn't store your username or password. Secure Server: Your information is stored in a special server that has extra protection that is built to manage malicious activity. Reliable Storage: Your data is saved on strong, safe disks that work together to make sure it's always available. Backups: Your data is copied and saved in another place very quickly, so if something goes wrong, we still have all the important information.
  • How do I activate Face ID/fingerprint recognition on the app?
    When you first download our app, if you have face id/fingerprint recognition turned on, it will prompt you whether to allow it for this app. If you do not have it turned on for your device you will need to look up how to turn it on for your particular device
  • How do I pay a property voucher?
    On the menu, accessible on any page, there is a section called ‘Send’. From the drop down options, please select ‘Property Voucher’. You will then be prompted to choose whether you want to pay for a voucher that you have given us, or one that you will provide. Once selected, follow the instructions regarding the amount you wish to pay.
  • Do you have online chat on the portal?
    Yes we do! You can access this via the blue bubble button on the bottom right of the screen.
  • How do I log out of the portal?
    The portal will automatically log you out if inactive for 15 minutes on a desktop. On the mobile app when you close it, you cannot get back in without re-entering your password or using biometrics (face id or fingerprint). Alternatively, click on the person icon at the top left of the page and then select ‘Log out’.
  • What push notifications are sent via the mobile App?
    Push notifications you will receive are in order for you to confirm a transfer.
  • Where can I see the bank details to wire money to IsraTransfer?
    On the menu, accessible on any page there is a section called ‘Our Wire details’.On this page you will see the wire details you will need to give to your bank in order to send funds to us.There is also the option to download them as a PDF file from this page.

  • How long do transfers take to be made?

    Yes, we are able to convert your funds and wire to another country, as long as the funds originate from a bank account in your name and will be wired to a bank account in your name (i.e not to a third party). If you wish to wire to a third party, a special tax document will allow us to make the transfer, please call us for further information . Due to the bureaucracy and high charges associated with these transfers, the minimum amount is 40,000 NIS.
  • May I make a third party a beneficiary of a transfer?
    You may do this, however, IsraTransfer will review the request before any transfer can be processed. Please note that extra documentation may be required, and acceptance is at IsraTransfer’s sole discretion.
  • I want to pay an invoice. What documents do I need?
    In order to pay an invoice we require a copy of the invoice. The invoice must contain on it the company number of who you are paying.
  • How do I pay a Tax voucher?

    This refers to the amount of shekels you expect to transfer in a given year. Answer this the best you can, but it doesn't commit you to anything. Even if you wind up overestimating the annual amount, you aren't obligated to transfer that amount, so write the maximum number you think this could be.
  • How do I upload a video?
    To upload your video, click on the "click here to upload" image. You will then be prompted to open your device's video camera. On an iPhone (right image), click "take a photo or a video". On an Android device (left image), choose the icon that says "Camera Camcorder". The regular camera icon will only allow you to take a photo, not a video.

    When we receive foreign currency to our account, the bank always sends us a copy of the accompanying SWIFT message, detailing the amount received, the name, address and bank of the sender. We will then call the client to receive permission to convert their funds.
  • Can I convert funds that haven’t yet been received by IsraTransfer?
    No, IsraTransfer must acknowledge that funds have been received before you can use the online platform to convert them.
  • How long are quotes valid for?
    Upon requesting a quote you will be given three, twenty second windows in order to confirm the conversion. If you do not confirm the conversion within this time period, the quote will expire and you will have to re-submit your rate request.
  • How is the exchange rate calculated?
    The exchange rate displayed when you request a conversion is your net exchange rate. This is calculated using the mid market rate minus the agreed commission deducted by IsraTransfer.
  • If I have confirmed a conversion, can this be cancelled?"
    Unfortunately, once you have confirmed a conversion we are unable to cancel it.
  • How do I know if a conversion I placed has taken place?
    Once a conversion has taken place, it will be reflected in the “Conversion History” section of the portal. Here you may also view and download a copy of the conversion confirmation for your records. Additionally, if you have signed up for notifications, you will receive an SMS and/or email message once your conversion has taken place. Notifications can be set up in “Edit My Profile,” accessible by clicking your name found in the top right corner of the screen when logged into the portal.
  • Will conversions I have made outside the portal also show up in my conversion history?
    Yes, all conversions, including those made not using the portal will appear in your Conversion History.
  • Do you charge commissions or fees?
    We deduct a percentage from the interbank rate. The percentage we take depends on the amount that you are transferring. There are no other fees or commissions.
  • How do I save money?
    When transferring money directly to a bank in Israel, the Israeli bank normally charges 0.20% to receive the money, 0.20% to convert the money, and approximately 1% from the exchange rate. When transferring funds through IsraTransfer, we do not charge receiving and conversion fees. We also give a superior exchange rate than that offered by the bank.
  • Can I fix an exchange rate for a future date?
    Yes. We can help you book an exchange rate for up to one year in advance. This requires a 10% deposit in order to fix the exchange rate. Once booked, you are committed to purchasing at the fixed exchange rate for the specific date for which you booked.
  • What are the mid-market rate and interbank rate?
    The interbank or mid-market rate is the rate at which banks trade between themselves. Individuals are unable to trade at this rate. Our aim is to get your exchange rate as close as possible to the interbank rate.
  • What is the Shar Yatzig?
    From Monday to Thursday at 3:30p.m (UTC+02:00) and on Friday at 12:15 p.m, The Bank of Israel publishes an exchange rate on its website. This is the interbank rate at that exact time. It is important to remember that the interbank rate moves every few seconds, so regardless of what the Shar Yatzig is listed as, the actual rate will be different five minutes, fifty minutes and five hours later.
  • I have multiple bank accounts, may I store all of them in my Beneficiary profile in the portal?"
    Yes, if you have more than one bank account in your name you may save them all in the portal. However, please be careful to choose the correct one when you make a transfer.
