If you are transferring an amount of over $50,000, either through IsraTransfer or directly with your bank you are required to show proof of the reason for bringing the money.

In most cases this is straight forward.

Example 1 – For the purchase of a property.

The bank will need to see a copy of the contract for the purchase of the property. If you have not signed the contract yet, the bank will need a copy of the draft of the contract and a letter from your Lawyer saying that you intend on signing the contract at some point.

Example 2 – You have made Aliyah and want to move your funds to Israel.

The bank will need to see a copy of your teudat oleh.

 Example 3 – You are buying a car.

The bank will need to see a copy of the contract for the purchase of the car.
